The standard repertoire for piano, defined and quantified
Below is my attempt to define and quantify the standard repertoire for piano.
The spreadsheets below were created from data derived from the Carnegie Hall website and represent over 30,000 works for solo piano performed in recitals between 1891 and 2022.
(Similar information about the standard repertoire for orchestral music is at https://orchestrarepertoiredata.blogspot.com/ )
